Lammy's 2 Cents

Fury has been asking me to write a blog entry for some time now as she has been solely responsible for all the hard work on the website thus far. Where to start… It’s been a crazy two weeks, our initial thoughts were to have a destination wedding although after talking it through with our families we decided a traditional wedding would be the best way to go. Let me tell you, it’s absolutely insane how far in advance you need to book the church and banquet hall these days. Here we are a year and a half out from our date and we were unable to reserve the church for the 2PM timeslot although we were able to get the Noon time slot for the day we picked, there was also a 10AM time slot available but who in heck would want such an early church wedding!! Banquet facilities are just as bad, after visiting several banquet halls this past week we decided on Iron Lake Country Club. To be honest my only requirements for the wedding reception is that it’s open bar all night and it has plenty of Captain Morgan and Jim Beam in stock :-) Now that the hall and the church are taken care of we’ve moved on to find a band and/or a DJ, we do have a preference for both a band and DJ although we need to find out if they are available and what it costs these days for entertainment. At the rate we’re moving at this wedding will be totally planned a year in advance. I did notice my alcohol consumption has increased over the last two weeks with all this planning; I like to think of it as boot camp training for my liver!!
Thank you everyone for visiting the website and signing the guest book! There have almost been 700 hits to date on the site. Just so everyone knows I had no input to any of the pictures that were posted of me although I must say I was a pretty cute kid, not sure what happened along the way. I also see that picture of me on my potty training chair ending up somewhere on the internet as a priceless moments joke L (Thanks Fury!)
Sometime very soon we plan to have our engagement pictures taken and will post our geeky pictures on the website for everyone to see and by all means feel free to save them as your desktop background :-)
That’s all I got for now, besides it’s time to exercise my liverJ
Lammy out!
